Statue of Rembrandt in the Rembrandtplein our "neighborhood" over the years: Smokey, Bush Doctor, Coco's Outback, 3 Sisters, Boster hotel (used to be The Thorbeck). This year we stayed at the Conscious (saves water and energy, the breakfasts are farm fresh!) and the NH Amsterdam Flower Market hotel (balcony is important!) 

The Swans are back! They were gone for years. (We must not be the only ones who missed the swans)

This outdoors chessboard has been here for years. It is outside the Hard Rock Cafe which we've visited many times...wherever we travel, if they have a Hard Rock Cafe, we visit! (and it's a looong list - we always get a T-shirt (city shirt)

I can't say enough good things about the Vodelpark in Amsterdam. To keep up my exercise, I ran here two times...total heaven each time. Incredible lakes and landscaping. Parrots in the trees and these cool "bluebirds."  Dogs everywhere running free and playing. Lots for kids. Many bikers, walkers, joggers and just plain admirers.
